Stephens Lawyers & Consultants has been recognised as a leading Victorian small firm in the area of Intellectual Property in the latest edition of Doyle's Guide to the Australian Legal Profession (Intellectual Property) 2010.

Advanced Hair Studio acknowledges 20 year association with Stephens Lawyers & Consultants
On 19 December 2009, Carl Howell, Chairman, Advanced Hair Studio, presented Principal Julian Stephens with a "20 Years of Association" award in recognition of Stephens Lawyers and Consultants' longstanding professional relationship with Advanced Hair Studio.
Advanced Hair Studio is a major international franchisor and is the largest hair restoration company in the world. During our 20 year association, Stephens Lawyers has undertaken corporate legal work for Advanced Hair Studio including franchising, trade practices, intellectual property management and protection and commercial matters in Australia. Advanced Hair has studios located worldwide - Western Europe, Middle East, Far East, South Africa, India and Australasia.
Stephens Lawyers has also assisted Advanced Hair Studio in protecting its innovative hair replacement and restoration technology and procedures.

Stephens supports students through the Stephens Lawyers University of Melbourne Queen's College Law Scholarship.
Stephens Lawyers & Consultants was once again pleased to sponsor the Stephens Lawyers Scholarship for law students at Queens College, University of Melbourne. The award was presented by Julian Stephens and Katarina Klaric at the Queens College Commencement Dinner on 4 March 2009.
As a past resident of the College, Julian Stephens became involved as a Scholarship donor in 2006 out of a desire to provide financial support to young law students to assist them in completing their studies.
Each year, a law student is chosen by the College Master to receive the award. Past Stephens Lawyers Scholarship recipients include Amanda May, (2007), Anna Drutschinin (2008) and Charley Brumby-Rendell (2009), (pictured above with Julian).
Stephens welcomes Linda Huan back to the team
Stephens Lawyers & Consultants is pleased to announce that Linda Huan has rejoined the team after spending time working in Hong Kong.
Linda rejoined Stephens in May 2009, having previously worked with the firm from April 2006 to October 2007, when she left for Hong Kong for work experience. She graduated from Monash University in 2006 with a Juris Doctor and has worked as a Chartered Accountant in corporate restructuring. Linda is fluent in Chinese Mandarin and is a qualified Professional Translator accredited by Australian National Accreditation Authority for Translators & Interpreters. During her time in Hong Kong, Linda worked in the corporate department of a global law firm and was involved with corporate mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and undertook commercial work for multi-jurisdictional clients. Linda's areas of practice include corporate and commercial law, trade practices, intellectual property, international trade and business expansion, with a particular emphasis on China practice.
