Emma Contebardo graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and Diploma of Languages (Italian) from La Trobe University. She was admitted to practice on 19 September 2017 as an Australian lawyer and as an officer of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Emma Contebardo joined Stephens Lawyers & Consultants in July 2017. She assists the Principals, Julian Stephens and Katarina Klaric, in their commercial and intellectual property law, defamation/media law and litigation areas of practice.
Prior to that, Emma worked as a personal assistant to four barristers in Dawson Chambers who specialise in commercial litigation, employment law, consumer law, defamation and building and construction law. She has also undertaken volunteer work with the Disability Discrimination Legal Service.
Emma’s passion is Italian heritage and culture which she has pursued during her many travels to Italy.
